BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at 10 a .m. , on Friday, November 5, 2010 , at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge , for Janet Elizabeth Allen James, 61, who passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at her residence. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge . Brother Bert Langley will conduct the funeral service. Janet was known for her talent of creating beautiful ceramics that she painted and provided to the senior citizens in the surrounding area. Another gift that she shared with others was to fix hair and make everyone as pretty as they could be.Janet's joy in life was her children and grandchildren whom she spoiled with gifts and a mother's love that could be felt from miles away. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband, Charles, of 43 years whom she adored. Survivors include her husband, Charles James of Lafayette; daughter, Christie Guidry of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Winford Allen of Brookhaven, MS and Jack Allen of Wesson, MS; her sister, Judy Case of Brookhaven, MS; five grandchildren, Stephen and Ashlin Guidry, Carlie, Jada and Timothy Guidry; and one great grandchild, Christian Guidry. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cassie Annette Begnaud; her parents, Rudolph and Jeanette Ivy Allen, two brothers, Albert Lee Allen and Royce Allen. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7 a .m. until time of service. Pallbearers will be Timmy Guidry, Troy Guidry, Timothy Guidry, Stephen Guidry, Will Broussard, Kip Allen, Kevin Allen, and William Case. Honorary pallbearers will be Karl Allen, Ryan Allen, Jason and Jonathan Case. Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard St. , Breaux Bridge , LA 70517 (337.332.2199), is in charge of arrangements.
