Janet Leleux David

New Iberia – A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Janet Leleux David, 81, who passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. 

Entombment will follow in the St. Marcellus Cemetery, in Rynella.

Deacon Durk Viator will officiate. 

Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 12:15 pm, on Saturday.

A longtime area resident, Mrs. David was born on October 31, 1943, in Abbeville, to the late Harrison and Donatile Sonnier Leleux. She was retired Deputy Clerk, from the Iberia Parish Clerk of Courts Office, with over 50 years of service. Mrs. David enjoyed camping with her husband, throughout the United States, swimming, scuba diving, crocheting, and watching television.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Raymond “Popeye” David; children, Lisa Boudreaux (Jody) and Raymond “Ray” David; grandchildren, Justin David, Carli Hernandez (Evan), Brayton Boudreaux (Cheyenne), and Darren Perez.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother. E.J. Leleux
