New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Monday, November 9, 2009 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia for Janice Carline, 70, who died Friday, November 6, 2009 in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Rev. Msgr. Richard Greene will be the Celebrant.
Mrs. Carline was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker; who loved animals and gardening. She knew the importance of recognizing people in her life and always knew names, birthdays, anniversaries and other special events. She participated in various charities and prayer groups. Even in her last days, she gathered others to help her pray for those in need, asking for herself only God's mercy. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband Ralph Carline of New Iberia; her sons, Brent Carline and wife Nancy of New Iberia, Scott Carline of New Iberia, Brian Carline and wife Paula of Richmond, TX; her daughter, Monica Pilman and husband Michael of Acton, MA; her brother, Michael Barrilleaux and wife Carolyn of New Iberia; her sister, Linda Daigle and husband Michael of Franklin; her grandchildren, Michael James Pilman, Matthew Paul Carline and wife Ashley, Jessica Carline, Jennifer Carline, Zachery Carline and Jacob Carline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lennis and Sylvia Broussard Barrilleaux; brother, David Barrilleaux.
Pallbearers will be her sons; Brent, Scott and Brian; her son in law, Michael; her grandsons, Matthew and Zachery.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM.
