Janice Marie Way LeBlanc

Opelousas - A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas, Louisiana for Janice Marie Way LeBlanc, 72, who passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at St. Martin Hospital.

Andy Stafford will officiate at the Graveside Service.

Janice worked as a telephone operator for 20-plus years, handling many phone calls at the switchboard for many hours during the day. She loved reading her Bible, singing, growing her beautiful flowers, keeping a diary, and family gatherings. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Brandy Mathews (Joshua); son, Shannon Way (Gwynne); grandchildren, Michael, Connor, Ronan, Shelby, Trey, and Breanna; great grandchild, Coraline Way; brother, Nathan Way; sisters, Faye Goralski (Kenneth), Sue Ellen Evans (Rodney), Eldie Jo Stafford (Odie), and Mildred Vige (George); half-brother, James "Sonny Man" Franklin Way; and her half-sister, Jessie Rae Way Vincent.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lyman and Ruby Marie Way; and her brother, James C. Way.
