Jared Joseph Blanchard

Catahoula - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Jared Joseph Blanchard, 32, who passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Jared loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed helping anyone who needed help. He loved his nieces, nephew, and great-niece dearly. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his parents, Carol Joseph and Marilyn LeBlanc Blanchard; his sister and brother-in-law, Brook B. Melancon and Mitchell; his sister, Callie M. Blanchard; his godchild, Briley Blanchard; nieces, Bailey Blanchard, Macy Melancon, Simmie Dugas, and Amelia Bernis; his nephew, Mckenzie Melancon; and his great-niece, Faith LaBorde. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Olden and Bernice Latiolais Blanchard; maternal grandfather, Armand LeBlanc, Sr.; and maternal grandmother, Theresa Broussard Dugas. Pallbearers will be Jacob Boudreaux, Brandon Spell, Shannon Barras, Zane Day, Brock Suire, and Lee Dugas. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Melancon and Mckenzie Melancon.
