Jared Michael Maturin

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Jared Michael Maturin, 37, who passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018, in Killdeer, North Dakota. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Rev. William Blanda will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A prayer service with Rev. Scott Bullock will be held at 6:30 pm Friday, followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm led by the Men’s Rosary Group. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Jared was born on November 9, 1981, and was a 1999 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School. He was a field supervisor for Legend Energy Services Coil Tubing with over 20 years of coil tubing experience. “loved his job. He was solid gold. Jared was very well respected and admired in this industry and trust me when I say respect in the coil tubing world is not given away, its earned!” – one of Jared’s coworkers. Jared enjoyed watching LSU baseball, attending LSU football games, hunting at his houseboat, fishing in Cocodrie, collecting coins, fishing with his daughter, and throwing the baseball and football with his son. Survivors include his wife, Casey Cason Maturin of Jeanerette; daughter, Taylor Bernard of Jeanerette; son, Jett Maturin of Jeanerette; parents, Gerald and Julia Gary Maturin of New Iberia, LA; sisters, Kimberly Garcia and husband Jesus of New Iberia, Ashley Le and husband Hien of Houma; sister-in-laws, Jessica Landry of Youngsville, Lindsay Hallam and husband John of Pensacola, Florida, Kaitlyn Landry and fiance' Cody Miles of Navarre, Florida; brother-in-laws, Austin Landry of New Iberia, Ricky Landry, Jr. of Youngsville; wife's parents, John Cason and wife Theresa of New Iberia, and Kimber Landry of New Iberia; beloved dog, Kahne; nephews, Jason Garcia, Preston Le, Brittain Bourque, Blake Bourque; nephew/godchild, Jacob Garcia; nieces, Emily Garcia, Mia Nguyen, Mia Le, Adalee Hallam, Cami Hallam, Emma Hallam; niece/godchild, Kenzie Hallam; and a great nephew, Brittain Bourque, Jr. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Beverly Alleman, maternal grandfather, Lawrence Touchet, paternal grandmother, Lou Ella Desormeaux Maturin, paternal grandfather, Lastie Maturin, wife's paternal grandfather, Johnnie "Coach" Cason.
