A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia.
A longtime resident of New Iberia, Jason was born on August 31, 1992 in Metairie and had recently moved to Franklin. He was a deputy with the St. Mary Sheriff department, and had a deep passion for law enforcement. Since he was a child, he knew he wanted to be a police officer. He was immensely proud of the job he held and only ever wanted to do good for others.
Jason was a one of a kind. He was a vibrant soul, full of laughter and love. His family and friends meant the world to him, and although he enjoyed pulling pranks on each one, he made sure they knew he loved them. He was always there to help anyone when they needed. He was the greatest son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend anyone could have. He will be missed by all, but he will never be forgotten.
Survivors include his mother, Shannon Hagan of New Iberia; father, Garold Hagan of New Iberia; sisters, Brandi Rocca and husband Michael of New Iberia, Kelsi Hagan of New Iberia; brother, Hunter LeBlanc of New Iberia; grandparents, Gwen Hagan of Maurice, Susan Jordan of Harahan; nephew, Aidan Rocca of New Iberia; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Rev. C.W. Hagan, and a great grandmother, Odette Rodgers.
