Javis Latiolais

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 5, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Javis Latiolais, 81, who passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Father Keith Landry will officiate at the funeral Mass. Mr. Latiolais enjoyed gardening and tending his farm animals. Survivors include three brothers, Clarence Latiolais and his wife, Loudell, of Arnaudville, Roy Latiolais and his wife, Liz, of Arnaudville, and Patrick Latiolais, of Cecilia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Benoit Latiolais; his parents, Olivier and Laurnia Thibodeaux Latiolais; four brothers, Harry, Emory, Carry, and Alex Latiolais; and four sisters, Deanna, Florence, Seola, and Nela Latiolais. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
