Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Jean Roy Landry, 73, who passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 am until 1:30 pm on Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Tuesday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Scriptures will be read by Ashley Landry and Kaisha Patin. Gift bearers will be Brannon Patin and Kourtney Landry. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Jean was born October 16, 1944 in Breaux Bridge. He was an excellent cabinet maker and loved working with oak. He was an avid outdoorsman; enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. Jean loved spending time with all of his family, especially going to the races with his two sons. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving spouse of 53 years, Dianne Melancon Landry; sons, Kip Neil Landry and wife Ashleigh and Chad James Landry and his companion, Brandy Daigle; sisters, Verna Laviolette and Lorraine Fitch; grandchildren, Sean McRaney, Ashley Landry, Kourtney Landry, Zacherie LeBoeuf, Kileigh Landry, Gage Patin, Kaisha Patin, and Brannon Patin; and his great grandchildren, Hayes Sampey and Collin Studebaker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aristille and Gladys Theriot Landry; and brothers, Lennis Landry and Lawrence Landry. Pallbearers will be Kip Neil Landry, Chad James Landry, Zacherie LeBoeuf, Gage Patin, Keith Melancon, and Sean McRaney.
