Jean Marie Lasseigne

Catahoula - A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2006, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Jean Robicheaux Lasseigne, 73, who died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Readers for the memorial mass will be Lori Matthieu and Priscilla Bernis and gift bearers will be her grandchildren, Caroline and Jensen Lasseigne. Mrs. Lasseigne retired after 25 years from the St. Martin Parish School Board as a secretary at Catahoula Elementary. ?She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 229 in Parks. Survivors include her husband, Murphy Lasseigne of Catahoula; her son, Kirk Lasseigne and his wife, Jackie of St. Martinville; her daughter, Jeannine Lasseigne of Catahoula; her sister, Sue Matthieu and her husband, ""Blackie"" of Broussard; her sister-in-law, Patsy Robicheaux of Lafayette; and her grandchildren, Caroline and Jensen Lasseigne. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Patin Robicheaux; and her brother, W.J. ""Hook"" Robicheaux. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Dion Hall and continue until time of service.
