New Iberia - A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Jeanette Roberts Borel , 75, who passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015, in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date. A native of Erath and a longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Borel was born on January 16, 1940 to Gabriel Suire and Adez Vincent Suire. An avid New Orleans Saints fan, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, and playing golf. Survivors include her husband, Malcolm Borel of New Iberia; daughters, Pam Derouenand husband Ridgeway Derouen, Jr. of New Iberia, Candie Moss and husband Barry of Magnolia, Texas; sons, Morty Borel and wife Patrice of New Iberia, Malcolm Borel, II and wife Tammy of New Iberia, Mike Borel and wife Jolene of New Iberia; brothers, Francis Suire of New Iberia, Mickey Suire of New Iberia, Robbie Suire of New Iberia; sisters, Bernadine Younger of New Iberia, Janelle Aucoin of Delcambre; 15 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
