Breaux Bridge-A private service will be held at a later date for Breaux Bridge native, Jeanne Broussard Patin, 99, who passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Flannery Oaks Nursing Home in Baton Rouge.
As a noble and meritorious act, Mrs. Patin wished to donate her body to the LSU School of Medicine for research purposes.
Entombment will be held at the St. Bernard Catholic Church Mausoleum in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Patin was born in Breaux Bridge on September 19, 1908. After graduating from Breaux Bridge High School, Mrs. Patin earned a certificate at Beauty School in New Orleans. She was a beautician for over 20 years in Breaux Bridge. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, traveling, and the Southern Cuisine.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Patin Lorio and her husband, C.J. Lorio of Denham Springs; three grandchildren, Randall J. Racca, of Breaux Bridge, Cindy Racca of Breaux Bridge, and Michael Racca of Slidell; four great-grandchildren, Nichole D. Trahan and Brandon Trahan of Breaux Bridge; Michael Lormand of Lafayette; and Shawn Racca of Slidell; and one great-great-grandchild, Kehlan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Patin; and her parents, Amand and Emeranthe Broussard.
