New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Monday, December 31, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel, in New Iberia for Jeanne Chaussis Pecot, who died Friday, December 28, 2007 in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Rev. Salvino ""Ruben"" Primor will officiate.
A native of Le Mans, France, Mrs. Pecot met her husband, Sidney, while he was serving in the US Army in France, during World War II. After the war, he returned to France, where they were married. Along with her husband, she was the owner of Pecot Appliances, the first business establishment on East Admiral Doyle Drive. Mrs. Pecot was an avid gardener and a volunteer at Iberia Medical Center.
Survivors include her sons, Wayne Pecot and wife Jean of New Iberia, Kirby Pecot and wife Kay of Lafayette; daughters, Diane Marcantel and husband Carey of Oberlin, Janet Pecot of Ann Arbor, Michigan; grandchildren, Ryan Pecot of Lafayette, Bradley Pecot of Humble, Texas, Jeanne Marcantel of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Sidney L. Pecot.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM Monday.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Pecot, Kirby Pecot, Ryan Pecot, Bradley Pecot, Carey Marcantel, and James Meeker.
