VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Jeannette Barras Horn, 65, who passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, Pastor of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Jeannette worked for the St. Martin Parish Public Library in St. Martinville for 33 years and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed cross stitching, growing daylilies, working in her yard and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, of 40 years, James M. Horn of St. Martinville; her sons, Edwin Horn and his wife, Laura Suir Horn and Frank Horn and his wife, Shawnna Horn, all of St. Martinville; her daughter, Mattie Horn Vaughn and her husband, Zachary of Loreauville; her sisters, Jo Ann Broussard and her husband, Raymond of Lafayette, Edwina Eisenstein and her husband, Leonard of St. Martinville and Inez Banta of Wyoming; and her grandchildren, Ethan James Horn, Emmalee Rae Horn, Edwin Michael Horn, Ian Charles Horn, Lillian Jolie Horn, Dominic James Horn and twins due to arrive in August. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Inez Greig Barras; and her uncle, Edwin Barras. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Edwin Horn, Frank Horn, Zachary Vaughn, Charles Durand, Glenn Judice and Phillip Decoux. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Bernis, Jeremy Bernis and Kenneth Blanchard. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
