Jeffery Gustafson

New Iberia – Jeffery Gustafson, a man known for his unselfish nature and caring spirit, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on October 30, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, Jeffery lived a life rich with passion and adventure.

A proud Vietnam veteran, Jeffery served in the United States Marine Corps, carrying with him the values of bravery and commitment that defined his character. After serving his country, he carved out a successful career as an iron worker, contributing to the railroads that span our nation.

Jeffery had a deep love for motorcycles and was often seen riding his Harley, the wind in his hair, enjoying the freedom of the open road. He will be deeply missed.

Jeffery is survived by wife, Angela Delahoussaye Gustafson; former wife and friend, Joy Bowen; aunts and uncles, Max and Janet, and Arnie and Judy; and friends, Joseph Hebert, Lauren Huckaby, and Kylie Guidry.

Jeffery’s spirit will continue to ride on, inspiring us all to be a little more unselfish and a lot more caring. May he rest in peace.
