Cecilia - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Jeremy Joseph Borel, 28, who passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:30 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 12:30 pm on Saturday. Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Jeremy enjoyed playing video games, streaming the internet, welding, playing basketball, and visiting with family and friends. He will be remembered as a respected, good-hearted person to all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Mary Borel of Lafayette; father, Claude Borel, Jr. of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Dwayne Borel and wife Marcella of Cecilia and Claude Borel, III and wife Rekeisha of Youngsville; and a nephew, Dylan Borel.
