St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Mallalieu United Methodist Church in St. Martinville, for Jeremy T. Mitchell, 33, who passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at his residence. Rev. Madeline Mitchell will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at Mallalieu Methodist Cemetery. Survivors include his mother and step father, Phyllis Marie and Roy Roberts, Jr. of Broussard; his father and step mother, Carl Joseph Mitchell ;and Debra, of St. Martinville; his brother, Roy Roberts, III of Broussard; three sisters, Patrece Roberts of Broussard, Jasmine Mitchell and Jade Mitchell, both of St. Martinville; his grandparents, Bernard and Geraline Mitchell of St. Martinville; and a host of aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merline and Joseph Orphe, Sr.; great grandparents, Maude and Paul Batiste, and Mozella and Bernard Mitchell; and an uncle, Samuel Orphe. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be James Landry, Damien Solomon, Bernard Mitchell, III, Michael Polk, Jermaine Porche, and Kennell Francois. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
