Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, January 29, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Jerry John Guidry, 88, who passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Sunday. Rev. Austin Leger will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Arlene Angelle. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Jerry was a member of the Flaming Kajun Camping Club, McDonalds Men's Breakfast Club, and was a former member of the Breaux Bridge Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and visiting with family and friends. He is survived by his loving daughter, Jackie Guidry Burdin and her husband Wade of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Wyatt Guidry; his parents, George and Noeda Guidry Latiolais;half-sister, Margaret L. Touchet and his half-brother, Ronald Latiolais. Pallbearers will be Brent Angelle, Derk Wyatt, Randy Rees, Scott Nicolle, Wade Burdin, and John Chaisson.
