Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Jerry Dale Hebert, 77, who passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue at 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Thursday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
Rev. Gary Schexnayder will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Ashley Guidry and Michelle Dupr. Gift Bearers will be Brody, Carmen, Gavin, Cameron, Drake, Karson, Seth, and Ethan. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Jerry enjoyed spending time outdoors, cutting his grass and working in his flowerbeds and garden, as well as doing some painting and mechanic work. He was always willing to lend a helping-hand to anyone in need. Every Sunday he enjoyed going to Waffle House with his wife to have breakfast with family and friends. Jerrys most cherished times were those spent with his family. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Earline Peltier Hebert of Breaux Bridge; two sons, Rickie Hebert of Arnaudville, and Troy Hebert and wife, Alecia, of Lafayette; two daughters, Debra Muse and husband, Ray, of Krotz Springs, and Pennie Sibille and husband, Michael, of Lafayette; two step sons, Craig Thibodeaux and wife, Celeste, of Parks, and Kelly Thibodeaux of Breaux Bridge; two step daughters, Mona Thibodeaux and Lisa Hendricks of Breaux Bridge; three sisters, Juanita Dejean of Broussard, Mae Baldridge and husband, Hillary, of Jonesborough, TN, and Patricia Hebert of Breaux Bridge; 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Cecile Broussard Hebert; and his granddaughter, Sasha Hendricks.
Pallbearers will be Troy Hebert, Michael Sibille, Craig Thibodeaux, Ray Muse, Kelly Thibodeaux, and Keno Thibodeaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rickie Hebert and Brannon Thibodeaux.
