Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, September 3, 2018, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Jerry James Landry, 68, who passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Cecilia from 10:00 am on Sunday, and continue until 9:30 am on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Reader will be Hannah Gautreaux. Gift bearers will be Maitlyn Patin and McKenzie Caceres. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He worked as a car detailer for many years and truly loved his job. Jerry enjoyed listening to KBON, watching wrestling, keeping his truck clean, and drinking beer. But most of all, being with his family brought him the most joy in life. His humorous personality and funny jokes he would tell will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving spouse of 47 years, Sable Duplechin Landry; his daughters, Nichole Landry Rodriguez and husband Hector, Shelly Landry Guidry and husband Chris, Sr.; his sister, Mary Alice Gaudet; his grandchildren, Bryce James Rodriguez, Hannah Marie Gautreaux, Alex Jude Rodriguez, Maitlyn Michelle Patin and McKenzie Rae Caceres. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Esonbie Knott Landry; and his infant brother, Eddy Joseph Landry. Pallbearers will be Nichole Landry Rodriguez, Shelly Landry Guidry, Bryce James Rodriguez, Alex Jude Rodriguez, Hector Rodriguez and Chris Guidry, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Mouton, Ronnie Mouton and Loretta Romero.
