Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Jerry Paul Nunez, 77, who passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:30 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Jerry worked for Production Operators, Inc. for 35 years. After retirement in 1997, he and his wife enjoyed traveling and camping. He enjoyed fishing, deer and duck hunting, cooking, and working on projects. Jerry loved music, especially classic country and Cajun music, which he loved to dance to. Jerry loved to be with his family and will be dearly missed by them. He is survived by his loving wife Juanita Breaux Nunez; daughters, Sheila Dobbs and husband Richard and Sheryl Mann and husband Tim; grandchildren, Meghan Johnson, Brock Dobbs, Brooke Dobbs, Sydney Mann, and Brody Dobbs; one great grandchild, Jaxon Gallet; brothers, Rudolph Nunez, George E. Nunez, Brent Nunez, Kenneth Nunez, and Dennis Nunez; and his sister, Paula Benoit. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Ruby Newton Nunez; sisters, Frances Miller and Jeanette Poole; and brother, Curtis Nunez. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Nunez, Dennis Nunez, Brock Dobbs, Brody Dobbs, Richard Dobbs, and Tim Mann. Honorary pallbearers will be Jill Johnson and Jaxon Gallet.
