Jerry honorably served his country as a Special Forces Paratrooper in the United States National Guard for 6 years. He loved the outdoors and was a passionate hunter and fisherman. Jerry played baseball and softball until the age of 45. He was an Expert Rifle Marksman and he enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with his family.
Jerry was beloved and respected as the patriarch of our family. He would want it said that he loved our mother, "Lady" so very much and not a second had gone by our entire lives that we didn't know that he did. They were no doubt created for one another, although very much opposites. Dad has more friends than we can count, many lifelong friends that he spent time with until his passing. He was loved by them as a brother, that says a lot about a man. Never much of a drinker nor touched a drug his entire life. He was thought of by others as a righteous man, but he would have never claimed that for himself. His values and morals held his whole life were on full display in his graceful passing. Even on his deathbed he cared more for others wellbeing than his own. His passing has truly left a void in our family. Thankfully we will see him again in the ever after as a fellow believer in our Lord Jesus.
He is survived by his daughter, Cecilia "CeCe" (Mark) Dupuis; sons, Theodore "Teddy" (Jessica) Thibodeaux and Daniel "Danny" Thibodeaux; brothers, Charles (Emiline) Thibodeaux and Dave Thibodeaux; sister, Mary Louviere; grandchildren, Krystin, Mark (Heidi), Matthew (Dallas), Kara, Luke, Ashley, Duke, Maren, Taylor, Sidny (Tim), Bailey and Rhyane; 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anntonnette "Ann" Thibodeaux; son, Jerry "Bubba" Thibodeaux, Jr.; and parents, Theodore and Vivian Babin Thibodeaux.
Pallbearers will be Mark Dupuis, Matthew Dupuis, Luke Dupuis, Duke Thibodeaux, Tim Frazer and Jake Allemand.
