Jessie John Champagne

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., on Friday, September 7, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel, for Jessie John Champagne, 75, who passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center Fr. Allen Breaux, will conduct the funeral service. Mr. Champagne honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, woodworking, and music. He loved spending time with his lovely wife of 50 years, Eula Mae, and his children. He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Eula Mae B. Champagne, of St. Martinville; one son, Jonathan Champagne, Sr. and his wife, Rachael, of St. Martinville; five daughters, Juliettte Champagne, Janelle Champagne, Jessica Bishop and her husband, Randy, Sr., all of St. Martinville, Jill Champagne, of Youngsville, and Jeannie Martin and her husband, Roland, of Chauvin; one brother, Merlin Champagne and his wife, Cynthia, of St. Martinville; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Euclide and Eunice Savoy Champagne; and an infant sister. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11 a.m. on Friday and continue until time of service. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
