Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Jessie Luke Guidry, 69, who passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at his residence. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Jessie served as a usher at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson. He enjoyed horse racing, gardening and spending time with his family, especially on Sundays when everyone gathered at his home to enjoy his outdoor cooking. Jessie worked as an superintendent at Boh Bros. Construction for 30 years of dedicated services. He was married to the love of his life, Florine of 49 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all who new him. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years Florine Thibodeaux Guidry; his daughters, Jessica Currier and her husband, Rodney of Youngsville, Deirdre Collette and her husband, Danny of Breaux Bridge and Monique Lee and her husband, Josh of Carriere, MS; his grandchildren, Amber Collette and her fianc, Josh McGrew, Trent Collette, Emily and Elisa Currier, Cody, Justin and Shae Lee; his great grandchild, Mya McGrew ; his loving nephew, Marty Guidry and his wife Shawn and their children, Jordan, Shelbi and Landon Guidry and his grandson Hayden Guidry; his brothers ONeal and Clifford Guidry both of Breaux Bridge, Willie and Don Guidry both of Parks and Earl Guidry of Catahoula; his sisters Lena Guidry Choplin and Margaret Guidry DeBlanc all of St. Martinville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Camille and Margaret Thibodeaux Guidry; and his brothers, Louis and Percy Guidry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 31, 2010 until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
