Jessie James Landry

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Jessie James Landry, 53, who passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at his residence. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Rev. Paul Broussard will conduct the funeral service. ?His god parents will serve as gift bearers. Jessie was a carpenter by trade and an avid horseman who enjoyed riding horses in his free time. ?He loved building things and will be remembered by all who loved him and by his skill as a carpenter. Survivors include parents, Percy J. ?and Eula Mae ""Mae Mae"" Hebert Landry, of Cecilia; his god parents, Lyn Angelle and Diana Guilbeau LeBlanc, both of Cecilia; and two aunts, Stella Jean Broussard, of Cecilia, and Bernice ""Bune"" Alleman, of Carencro. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ferland and Eva Guidry Hebert; and his paternal grandparents, Angelas and Aledia Castille Landry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Lyn Angelle, Bill Angelle, William Schexnider, Harris Tauzin, Jeff Addison, and Joe Alleman. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
