Jessie James Ledet

St. Martinville - A private gathering will held on Saturday, October 24, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. for Jessie James Ledet, 43, who passed away on October, 16, 2009 in St. Martinville. Jessie enjoyed crabbing, fishing, working on automobiles, turtle catching and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his companion, Vicky Morrison of St. Martinville; his son, Jeston James Benoit of Lafayette; his daughters, Latora Dunn (Kirk) of Carencro, Latoya Sam (Jerrien) of Lafayette and Odessa Stiner of Lafayette; two step sons, Jared Morrison, of Marietta, GA, and Nicholas Morrison, of Lafayette; his brothers, Harrison Ledet, Jr. of Breaux Bridge, George Ledet of Marietta, GA, Joseph Ramsey of Breaux Bridge, Joseph Clausey of Breaux Bridge, Pierre Ledet of Perry, Texas and Leroy Ledet of Cecilia; his sisters, Anna Mae Edward of Lake Charles, Annie Jean Alfred of Lafayette, Lorita Jean Batiste of Breaux Bridge, Theresa Jones of Houston, Renella Faulk of Lafayette, Shirley Noel and Barbara Williams both of Breaux Bridge; his 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Harrison Ledet, Sr.; his mother, Regina Simon Ledet; his brothers, Clifton, Asthon, Joseph Charles, John and Carl Ledet; his sisters, Della Arceneaux and Mary Alice Charles. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
