Jessie 'Blue' "Blue" Pierre Stelly

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Jessie Pierre Stelly, 67, who passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 surrounded by his family. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am on Wednesday until funeral service at 9:00 am on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Deacon Butch Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. Jessie, better known as "Blue" was born in Arnaudville to the late Pierre and Verly Courville Stelly. He was a Dredge Boat Captain for over 30 years. Blue enjoyed playing bingo, and watching football and wrestling. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana for their care and support in his time of need. He is survived by his loving spouse of 48 years, Marie Bergeron Stelly; daughters, Jessica Dugas and husband Gene of Breaux Bridge, Angela Darby and husband Patrick of Carencro; son, Jason Stelly, Sr. and wife Rachele of Breaux Bridge; sister, Doris Bergeron and husband Anthony of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Heather Dejean, Della Smith, Misty Denais, Jessie Thibodeaux, Taylor Stelly, and Jason Stelly, Jr.; great grandchildren, Riley Dejean, Timmy Dejean, Alexis Dejean, Jayden Denais, Gannon Denais, and Amelie Thibodeaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Louis and Verly Courville Stelly; and his brother, James Evans Stelly.
