Breaux Bridge- A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Jessie James Trosclair, 84, who passed away on April 21, 2024 at his residence.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the funeral service.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2.
Jessie found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was tending to his garden, cutting his grass, or enjoying cherished moments crabbing at Holly Beach. His family was special to him, and he loved spending every moment with them. Despite facing challenges, he always wore a smile that radiated his inner strength and positivity. His happiness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jessie will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Diane Jeanette Trosclair; children, Tina Courville, Rhonda David, and Ronnie Trosclair (Wanda); siblings, Louella Dupuis, Madia Allemond (Edwin), Sadia Champagne, Janet Touchet (Harold), and Lorraine Bergeron; grandchildren, Amy Dautreil (Brandon), Kenneth Courville, Jr., Nicole Cart (Patrick), Michael Trosclair, Brandon David (Leah), and Danielle Gibson (Rayne); 15 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Celina Barras Trosclair; brother, Robert Trosclair; infant daughter, Vickie Trosclair; son-in-law, Kenneth Courville; son-in-law, Brent David; brothers-in-law, Nathan Dupuis, Shirles Champagne, and Harold Bergeron.
Pallbearers will be Kennth Courville, Jr., Michael Trosclair, Brandon David, Brandon Dautriuel, Patrick Cart, and Rayne Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Trosclair, Robbie Melancon, John Allen Breaux, and Terry Bergeron.
The family would like to extend a special thank you out to all of the staff with St. Joseph Hopsice.
