Jillian "Jill" Moore

New Iberia – Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Jillian “Jill” Moore, 41, who died on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Rev. Keith Landry will officiate.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.

A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed mat 7:00 pm on Friday.

Jillian Moore was born on November 10, 1980 to Wayne “Danny” Moore, Jr. and Carolyn Mestayer Henry, and was a 1998 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She became a mother at an early age to a beautiful daughter, Taysha and then to a handsome son, Bryce. She went to work to support her two children who she dearly loved. Jill was employed at the Walmart Super Center on Admiral Doyle and then most recently the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Parkview, where she worked her way up to the Front End Team Lead.

She loved thrift shopping on Saturday mornings, breakfast from McDonald’s, shopping for shoes and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Taysha Hill; son, Bryce Joseph, II; grandchildren, Braxton and Amyah Hill; parents, Wayne “Danny” Moore, Jr, and Carolyn Mestayer Henry (Terry); sister, Claudia Moore (Curley Randall, Jr.); nieces, Courtlynn and Caitlynn Randall; nephews, Cadall Randall and Karson Albert; step grandmother, Marion Moore; godmother, Suzanne H. Hebert; best friend, Danyelle Zenon (Rocky); and special friend, Terrance Holms.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Wayne D. Moore, Sr. and Elva Davis Moore; maternal grandparents, Carroll and Janet Mestayer; and godfather, Steven Moore.
