Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, January 22, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Jimmy Jones, 56, who passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Friday. Rev. Stephen Ugwu will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow a later date. Jimmy was born August 17, 1964. He worked for Lafayette Consolidated Government for many years. As a pastime, he enjoyed baseball and playing pool. Jimmy will be dearly missed. He is survived by his two brothers, Emile Jones, Sr. and Alvin Jones (Eva Marie); two sisters, Laura Brooks and Florence White; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Adrian Jones; mother, Mary Johnson; two sisters, Eula Mae Cole and Willa Mae Jeffers; two brothers, Adrian John, Jr. and Lawrence Jones; brothers-in-law, Ernest White and Samuel Cole. Pallbearers will be Emile Jones, Sr., Shelton John, Emile Jones, Jr., Eric Jackson, Cublyn Johnson, and Alvin Jones. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
