St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Jo Ann Castille Theriot, who passed away on her 78th birthday, Tuesday, July 24, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and continue at 7:00 am until 9:30 am on Thursday A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Blake Theriot will serve as the Altar Server. The scriptures will be read by Kasey Theriot and her grandchildren will serve as Gift Bearers. Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Jo Ann was an avid reader who also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and sewing in her free time. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially on Christmas, which was her favorite holiday. She is survived by her husband, Allie Theriot of St. Martinville; three sons, Britt (Bridget) Theriot of Lafayette, Darren (Josie) Theriot of Parks, and Jason (Kasey) Theriot of St. Martinville; her daughter, Gaynell Theriot Meyers (Kerns) of Youngsville; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Allie Mae Boudreaux Castille; two brothers, George L. Castille and Jacques J. Castille; and two sisters, Patricia M. Castille and Allie Mae Castille. Pallbearers will be Darren Theriot, Jason Theriot, Lyle Theriot, Kent Theriot, Ross Viator, and Kerns Meyers.
