New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Monday, July 27, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Joan Perron Matt, 72, who passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015, in New Iberia. Interment will follow at Le Platin Cemetery in Ville Platte. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Mrs. Matt was born on March 7, 1943 to Renise Perron and Irene Guillory Perron in Vidrine, LA. A lifelong area resident, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Rhonda Devillier and husband Matt of Carencro, Melissa Butcher and husband Michael of New Iberia, Jeffery Matt of New Iberia; brother, Ferrell Perron and wife Debbie of Coteau; sister, Judy Berzas of New Iberia; and 10 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Matt and a sister, Betty Savoy.
