Joanne Theriot Olivier

Catahoula - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Joanne Theriot Olivier, 76, who passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall from 8:00 am until 2:30 pm on Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 2:15 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Richard Fabr will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Ashley Culver, Sydney Guidry, and Kaci Hebert. Gift bearers will be Holly Olivier and Oren Bienvenu. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Mrs. Olivier cherished the moments spent taking care of her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, Louis Huey Olivier, Sr. of Catahoula; sons, Louis Huey Olivier, Jr. and wife Darla of Catahoula, and Jaime Olivier and wife Tessie of Coteau; daughters, Darlene Bienvenu and husband Ben of Catahoula, Paula Olivier of Delcambre, and Lois Ann Olivier of Catahoula; brother, Jerry Theriot of Catahoula; sister, Peggy T. Verret of Abbeville; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Bourque Theriot; brothers, Russell Theriot, Antoine Theriot, and Jimmy Theriot; and her sister, Betty Lou Mason. Pallbearers will be Louis Olivier Sr., Louis Olivier Jr., Jamie Olivier, and Ben Bienvenu. Pellerin Funeral Home, (337-332-2111), is in charge of arrangements.
