New Iberia ;- A gathering of remembrance will be Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Joe Richard Hodges, 57, who died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, in New Iberia. ; Born on July 20, 1952, Mr. Hodges worked for Dynamic Industries, and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling. ; Survivors include her wife, Shirley Case Hodges of New Iberia; step daughters, Janice Ruth Knight, Roxanne Lain and husband Frank, Tammy Delcambre Moore and husband Brant all of New Iberia; brothers, Ervin Hodges, Jr. and wife Sandra of Vonore, TN, Wayne Robert Hodges and wife Pat of McEwen, TN; sisters, Nancy Sue Cook of Hopkinsville, KY., Diana Louise Everett of Niota, TN., Debra Kay Hale and husband James of Englewood, TN; brother-in-law, Buddy Johnson and wife Sherrie Gail of Trinity, TX; sisters-in-law, Jackie Waters of Houston, TX., Jo Borel, Mary Armentor and husband Larry, Sue David all of New Iberia; 5 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews. ; He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Weaks Hodges and Helen Ruth Cook. ; Memorial contributions may be made to the family. ; Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331, is in charge of arrangements.
