New Iberia - A gathering of remembrance will be Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Joe Richard Hodges, 57, who died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, in New Iberia. Born on July 20, 1952, Mr. Hodges worked for Dynamic Industries, and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling. Survivors include her wife, Shirley Case Hodges of New Iberia; step daughters, Janice Ruth Knight, Roxanne Lain and husband Frank, Tammy Delcambre Moore and husband Brant all of New Iberia; brothers, Ervin Hodges, Jr. and wife Sandra of Vonore, TN, Wayne Robert Hodges and wife Pat of McEwen, TN; sisters, Nancy Sue Cook of Hopkinsville, KY., Diana Louise Everett of Niota, TN., Debra Kay Hale and husband James of Englewood, TN; brother-in-law, Buddy Johnson and wife Sherrie Gail of Trinity, TX; sisters-in-law, Jackie Waters of Houston, TX., Jo Borel, Mary Armentor and husband Larry, Sue David all of New Iberia; 5 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Weaks Hodges and Helen Ruth Cook. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
