New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM, on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Joel Wilson Duncan, 30, who passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2009 in New Iberia.
Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will be officiating.
An avid wrestling fan, Joel enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his parents, Neil and Regina Duncan of Lydia; sister, Chesley Prince and husband Sonny of New Iberia; nephew, Noah Prince of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Ruth Vanhaverbeke and his paternal grandparents, Junior and Dorothy Duncan.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Vanhaverbeke, David Vanhaverbeke, Roy Vanhaverbeke, Tony Vanhaverbeke, Ted Vanhaverbeke, Jared St. Martin.
Honorary Pallbearers include Stafford Dore, Rory Vanhaverbeke, and Jason Vanhaverbeke.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 9:00 AM until 2:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
