John Additon

New Iberia - A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for John David Additon, Jr., 41, who passed away Monday, May 27, 2013, in New Iberia. Born on August 9, 1971, Mr. Additon was from New Orleans, but was a long time resident of New Iberia. He was a graduate of Belle Chasse High School and attended South Louisiana Community College. Mr. Additon had a passion for sports. He was an avid fan and supporter of the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Hornets, and Tulane University Sports. Always seeking a new adventure, he loved traveling, fishing, boating, and dining, especially seafood dishes. His hobbies also included movies, music, and singing karaoke. Survivors include his daughter, Victoria Additon of New Iberia; mother, Cheryl Additon and fianc Apostolos Palistraizis of New Iberia; grandmother, Rita Addition of Harvey; sister, Sonya Additon of St. Petersburg, Florida; nieces, Alexandra Klink and Sophia Klink both of St. Petersburg, Florida; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John David Additon, Sr.; grandparents, Maydell and Marvin Schneider, Mark B. Additon, and Edward Tolar.
