Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for John Curtis Benoit, 71, who passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8:00 am until the time of service.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday by Kevin LeBlanc.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.
John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. John was an avid LSU football fan. He looked forward to his mornings spent at the "kitchen" with his close friends. John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janelle Newgebaver Benoit; sons, Travis Benoit and Dwayne (Linda) Benoit; and his grandchildren, Chelsey Benoit, Claudia Benoit and Joseph Benoit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Benoit and Mercedes Hayes Benoit.
Pallbearers will be Travis Benoit, Dwayne Benoit, Brett Brinkman, Kevin LeBlanc, Jacob LeBlanc, and Brian LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Benoit and Clark LeBlanc.
