If you were lucky enough to know John, you knew laughter. He had a rare gift-he could walk into any room and light it up with his quick wit, infectious humor, and an uncanny ability to make people smile. Making others laugh wasn't just something he did-it was who he was.

John played an instrumental role in starting Credit Merchandise alongside his mother, eventually expanding it into multiple locations. With his natural charisma and genuine love for people, business came easily to him. But beyond his work, John had a deep passion for writing. He had a way with words, crafting them into beautiful songs that reflected his heart and soul.

Above all, John loved deeply. He cared fiercely for those around him, and his huge heart left a lasting imprint on everyone he met. His absence leaves an unimaginable void, but his love, laughter, and the memories he created will live on forever.

John is survived by his beloved daughter, Jordan Bergeron, and her mother, Dana Arnaud; his brother, Corey Bergeron and Patty; his sister, Callie Berard and Jason; his godchildren, Layton Berard and Kennedy Bergeron; his nephew, Channing Berard; and his niece, Lydie Berard; former wife and good friend Karice Angelle; and stepson Ezra Angelle. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hilton and Margaret LeBlanc and Allen and Sable Calais, as well as his loving parents, Carrol Bergeron and Judy LeBlanc Bergeron; Brother-in-law Ji Angelle; and stepson Richard D'aquin.

John's personality was larger than life, and he's left his mark on this world with an undeniable presence that will be deeply missed. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. His spirit will never be forgotten.

Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
