New Iberia - Mass will be held at 10:00 am, on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Mr. John D. Boudreaux ,89, who passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014, in New Iberia.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 9:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
Rev. Gary Schexnayder will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.
Mr. John was a Eucharistic minister for numerous years, and also a Marriage Encounter and Confirmation teacher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He cherished moments spent with family and friends, especially going on traveling trips. Mr. Boudreaux was a U.S. Naval Radarman Third Class in which he proudly served the country in WWII. Family would like to give special thanks to Sister's Care and Concepts of Care for their love and support during his illness.
He is survived by his wife, Eildred H. Boudreaux; 5 sons, Daniel Boudreaux and wife Carol, Terry Boudreaux and wife Ann, Norman Boudreaux and wife Jo Ann, Kim Boudreaux and wife Jean, Dan Miranda and wife Barbara; 4 daughters, Sandra Williford and husband John, Wendy Romero and husband Todd, Cindy Sharp and husband Bob, and Patti Dobbs; 23 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, "J.C. Boudreaux and Evelyn Boudreaux.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Boudreaux, Terry Boudreaux, Norman Boudreaux, Kim Boudreaux, Dan Miranda, John Williford and Todd Romero.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Sharp, Benjamin Boudreaux, Jake Boudreaux, Blake Boudreaux, Caleb Williford, Brandon Boudreaux, and Brock Romero.
