Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, February 11, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, John Lloyd Cormier, 75, who passed away on Friday, February 8, 2008 at his residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Rev. Allen Breaux assistant pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. Readers are Yvonne Cormier and Priscilla Theriot. Gift bearers are Rosamae Latiolais, Cheryl Latiolais and Charlene Latiolais. He retired from Cargill Salt "formerly Gordy Salt" after 42 years of service. He enjoyed sharing stories of the past and riding his lawn mower. Survivors include his 2 sons, Adley Cormier and his wife, Melinda of Lake Charles and Gary J. Cormier of Breaux Bridge; one daughter, Carolyn C. Hebert and her husband James "Jimmy" of Parks; He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Mae "Bin" Cormier; his parents, Stanley Cormier and Eunice LeBlanc Cormier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2008 and continue at 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Phillip Dudley Cormier, Jr., Dwight Cormier, John Perez, Jr., Brian Perez, Marty Theriot and Mercury Theriot. Honorary pallbearer will be John Allen Cormier. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
