Henderson Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for John Courville Jr., 77, who passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 am until 10:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 8:00 am until 1:30 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Keith Landry will officiate at the Funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. John was a huge fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed watching old western movies and listening to Hank Williams. Most of all, he loved being with his family and friends. John was so proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by three sons, Timmy Courville and wife, Tessie, of Cecilia, David Courville and wife, Marlene, of Henderson, Alton Courville and significant other, Kealy Derise, of Henderson; three daughters, Brenda Courville and significant other, Mona Guillot, of Indian Bayou, Sara Stelly and husband, Patrick, of Arnaudville, and Monica Courville and significant other, Drake Allemond, of Henderson; his brother, Leus "Dubee" Courville; his sister, Irene Courville Bergeron; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ezore Marie Robin Courville; his parents, Jean and Alcide Thibodeaux Courville; his son, Dickie James Courville; his sister, Helen Collette; and three brothers, Alton, Able and Preston Courville. Pallbearers will be Kelly Courville, Chase Courville, Ryan Courville, Alcee Courville, Blaine Clark, and Nick Miller.
