John Devillier Sr.

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 19, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for John ""Russell"" Devillier, Sr., 65, who died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Russell served in the U.S. Navy. ?He was a co-owner of R & L Catering in Parks. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Fruge' Devillier of Catahoula; two sons, John Russell ""Rusty"" Devillier, Jr. and his fianc?e, Kristy Olivier of Catahoula and Pete Ray Devillier of Nederland, TX; one daughter, Rachelle D. Barras, and her husband, Joey of Catahoula; one brother, Allen Devillier, and his wife, Kathleen of Breaux Bridge; and four grandchildren, John Barras, Brandon Barras, Macenly Boudreaux and Malee Devillier, all of Catahoula. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Odile Barras Devillier; and one brother, Earl J. Devillier. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 11:30 AM - 10 PM on Wednesday and continue at 7 AM on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at Wednesday evening. Pallbearers will be Allen Devillier, Rusty Devillier, Pete Devillier, Leonard Devillier, Joey Barras and Richard Fruge', Sr. Pellerin Funeral Homes of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
