John Dugas

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for John Wesley Dugas, 83, who passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012 at St. Martinville Rehab and Nursing Center. Fr. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mr. Dugas was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was retired from Red Fox Machine and Supply after 30 years of loyal and dedicated service. Survivors include his wife, Irene Hulin Dugas of St. Martinville; and two sisters, Gloria Robichaux of Metairie, and Linda Bihm of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Aline Ren Dugas. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
