New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for John Fraser, 52 who died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in New Iberia . Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Rev. Mike Arnaud will be the Celebrant. Born on August 30, 1959 , John was a native of St. Louis , Missouri , and a resident of New Iberia . Helping others reach their financial goals was Johns greatest fulfillment in his career as a financial advisor for 29 years. His hobbies included playing tennis, hunting, scuba diving, riding bikes, traveling, and reading. Survivors include his wife Lynette Richard Fraser of New Iberia ; brother, Donald V. Fraser of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Dr. Vicky Fraser and husband Dr. Steve Miller of St. Louis, Missouri; mother-in-law, Jeanette Gonsoulin Richard of New Iberia; brothers-in-law, Patrick J. Richard and wife Renee of New Iberia, Darrell J. Richard and wife Mary of St. Rose, LA., Wynn J. Richard of Dayton, Texas; sisters-in-law, Lacey A. Richard of Baton Rouge, Tricia J. Richard of New Iberia; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, 'Gypsy' He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Vincent Fraser, Jr. and Barbara Antonia Luechtefeld; and his father-in-law, Russell James Richard. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 10:30 AM until 2:00 PM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, 130 N. Richelieu Circle , in New Iberia .
