Arnaudville - A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville for John Floyd Lanclos, 89, who passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 am until 2:45 pm on Wednesday.
Pastor Gary Dardar will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville.
John honorably served in the United States Army. He earned a Combat Infantry badge, Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars and a United Nations Service Medal during his time serving. John retired with Opelousas General Health System as Maintenance Supervisor after 38 years of employment.
He enjoyed reading, fishing, gardening and watching the Saints play. His family was important to him and John cherished his moments spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. John will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Anna Arnaud Lanclos; son, Marvin Lalonde; three daughters, Brenda (Clyde) Quebedeaux, Mona (Todd) Arnaud and Rhonda (Harold) Arnaud; brother, Harold (Sue) Lanclos; six grandchildren, Dana (Freddie) Calverette, Pam (Gary) Dardar, Nicholas (Wendy) Lalonde, Brandon (Savannah) Arnaud, Krista (Brian) Huval and Cody (Katie) Arnaud; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelard and Leona Chautin Lanclos; son, Blaine Lalonde; two sisters, Virgie Lanclos and Annabelle Lantz; and two brothers, Wilfred Lanclos and Cleveland Lanclos.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Lalonde, Brandon Arnaud, Freddie Calverette, Brian Huval, Kobe Dardar and Drake Calverette.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Lalonde and Cody Arnaud.
