John Russell Mire

Lafayette - A memorial service will be held at a later date for John Russell Mire, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Mr. Russell Mire was a hard-working man who had a long career in roofing construction. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving daughter, Shelly Davis of Dardanelle, AR; brother, Ray Lynn Mire of Scott; and 15 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lilian Breaux Mire; five brothers, Lee Allen Mire, Jerry Lee Mire, Henry Mire, Jr., Gilbert Mire, and Tommy Mire; and four sisters, Betty Joyce David, Genevieve Dupuis, Shirley Mire, and Mary Mire.
