John "Pap" Boudreaux

Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service where friends, family, and members of the community are invited to honor and celebrate the life of John "Pap" Boudreaux, 72, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Deacon Jim Davis will officiate the memorial service. 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John "Pap" Terry Boudreaux, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Born on August 1, 1952, in Lafayette, LA, he lived a remarkable life filled with joy, kindness, and compassion. John departed from this world on August 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love.

John was a man of few words, but when he spoke, his words resonated from the depths of his heart. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle, listening to old school music, and enjoying his time at the casino. John's dedication to his work exemplified his commitment to serving others with dignity and respect. For many years, he traveled with Buckwheat Zydeco driving him and the band all over the country. Later, he worked at Pellerin Funeral Home as a Director's Assistant. Throughout his life he created memories that will live on in the minds of those who had the privilege of knowing him. 

He is survived by his daughter, Shantelle Bernard; grandchild, McKinley J. Bernard; sister-in-law, Laura Boudreaux; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his father, Curley Boudreaux; mother, Mary Meyers; brothers, Larry Boudreaux and Emile Boudreaux; wife, Joyce Pete Boudreaux; grandparents, Fernand and Stella Meyers.
