Lafayette - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Living Glory Church for John Richard Pratt, 65, who passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at his residence.

A visitation will take place at Living Glory Church, 200 E. Butcher Switch Rd, Lafayette, LA on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 AM. 

Pastor Carl Benton will officiate at the Funeral Service.

John lived a life full of love, service, and dedication, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew him.

John was a integral member of the of Living Glory Church, where he and his wife, Linda, were members of Couple to Couples (Marriage Ministry Directors). He was an active member of the praise and worship team for 25 years. John dedicated his professional life as a manager at Macy's for 31 years, where his kindness and commitment to service extended far beyond his job title. He was a beacon of support to everyone in his life and was known for lending a hand to those in need, embodying the spirit of generosity.

An adoring family man, John took great pride in providing for his loved ones. He cherished moments spent in the warmth of family gatherings, enjoying the simple pleasures of life, whether that involved fishing, singing, or simply being present with those he loved.

As we gather to honor and remember John, let us celebrate the incredible man he was - a supportive husband, a loving brother, and a true friend to all. His light will shine on in our memories, guiding us as we continue to navigate life without him.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Pratt; step-sons, Jamal (Hailey) Miller and Edward (Monique) Miller; brothers, Oscar Pratt, Lane (Susan) Pratt, Macelle Pratt, Carrol Pratt, Larry (Betty) Pratt, Mark Pratt, and David (Linda) Pratt; and his sisters, Elaine (Michael) Conant, Margaret Pratt and Andree (Wilfred) Pratt Lewis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Oscalie Williams Pratt; and his brother, Gerald Pratt.

Pallbearers will be Jamal, Edward, and Lamar Miller, Jason Pratt, Michael Dugas, and Kyle Pratt.

Honorary pallbearer will be Larry, Lane, David, Oscar and Carrol Pratt.
