Loreauville - Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 23, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville, for John Michael Steiner, 15, who passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 A gathering of family and friends will be Friday 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM. Rev. Buddy Breaux will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery in Loreauville. Michael was born on June 28, 1999, and was a student at New Heights Academy in Broussard. He was an altar server at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville, and his hobbies included participating in 4H, baseball, hunting, tubing, and playing chess. Survivors include his parents, Russell and Michelle Darce' Steiner of Loreauville; brothers, Blake Steiner and wife Katie of Alexandria, Gregory Steiner and wife Ariel of Loreauville, and Micah Steiner of Baton Rouge; sister, Catherine Steiner of Lafayette; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Lorina Steiner of Franklin; maternal grandparents, Harry and Gerry Darce' of Youngsville; nieces and nephews, Isabelle Steiner, Lacey Steiner, James Steiner, Claire Steiner, Paul Steiner, and Greyson Steiner;and maternal great grandmother, Grace Resweber. Pallbearers will be Blake Steiner, Gregory Steiner, Micah Steiner, Grant Darce', Jacob Steiner, and Christian Steiner. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaille Magar, and Brian Littleton.
